Allpeers- the p2p app to rule them all
Mood: Geek
Well, the "blogoshpere" (I hate that word) has been set ablaze by the latest and possibly greatest extensions for Firefox. The idea is to allow filesharing between private groups.
Basically, you have several categories of files to share. They could be family photos, porn, and music. Then, you create a whitelist for each of these groups. This means you tell Allpeers "This guy, this guy, and this guy can acess my family photos" and so on. The real kicker is this: The whole thing runs on top of a BitTorrent client.
This is really good news, especially for those without broadband. But, I mean...odds are, if you don't have broadband, you don't have Firefox and you're a loser.
Remember, have fun, and geek out!
